Should I even bother with him?

Okay so I'm gay snd there's this guy that always stares at me in my classes. We used to flirt but he hurt my feelings so I started ignoring him. And yesterday my friend asked if he liked girls, and he said loud enough for me to hear"basically." I like him but like "straight" guys come with alot of baggage. Now my question is, should I tell him how I feel ? Cause I'm trynna get over him if he isn't going to make him move.
